TASTY COLOURFUL VEG SIDE DISH  As we all know, veges can benefit us in a lot of ways. It gives us good nutrients and minerals we need for our body to survive. This would be one of the healthy recipes to follow. Read below and find out! Serves 4 Ingredients: 1 turnip 1 bunch (4-6) asparagus 1 carrot 1/2 onion 2 Dried chillies 1 & 1/2 tbsp chilli powder 1 tsp turmeric powder 1/2 tsp asofoetida powder 2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp cumin seeds 1 tbsp cooking oil 2 stems spring onion 2 stems coriander Method: Collect all the ingredients. Wash all the vegetables. Chop the vegetables into chunks or medium sized pieces. Light up the stove. Place a wok or saucepan on the stove and let it heat up. Pour oil in it and let it warm up. COOKING RICE Rice is a natural source of carbohydrate which boosts your energy levels. You would need this for a quick meal and when you are too lazy to cook anything. Cooking rice is as simple as that. You can lay on your couch and watch TV or do whatever you want when its cooking!!!! The steps for this heavenly food is coming right up. Ingredients: 2 Cups Rice 4 Cups Water Method: Put rice in a huge basin and prep for washing. Wash rice thoroughly and drain the water. Repeat this process 3 or 4 times or until the water isn't foggy, but clearer. Fill the basin up to 3/4 and make sure that the rice is fully covered in water. Light the stove. Place the basin on the stove. Cook the rice on low heat for around 15 - 20 minutes or until the rice is soft. For basmati rice cooks in around 10 minutes, whilst other types of rices take longer.
